Elsewhere在他方

When I go elsewhere, I bring an idea of elsewhere with me. Light, colour and a person's posture can make what is before me resemble an image I already carry. I choose where to stand, and which photographs to place beside one another.

到別處去，我也帶著對別處的想像。光、顏色與人的姿勢，會讓眼前忽然像一幅早已存在的圖。我選擇站的位置，也選擇讓哪些照片彼此相鄰。

Placed together, scattered encounters begin to form a path. This arrangement gives shape to somewhere far away. It can also make chance seem to have had a direction all along. I want to know how much of the place taking shape in these photographs comes from being there, and how much from my wish to make it appear this way.

把它們放在一起，一些零散的相遇開始有了路徑。這些安排讓遠方成形，也可能使偶然變得像是早有方向。我想知道，照片裡那個漸漸清楚的地方，有多少來自抵達，又有多少來自我讓它如此出現的願望。
